Trista Thinnes, DVM

Dr. Trista Thinnes first started working in a veterinary clinic at age 15 and fell in love with it. Growing up on a small farm in Missouri, her childhood included showing quarter horse and helping her parents with the Angus cattle farm. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in animal science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Missouri. She also interned at Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery in Weatherford and is certified in bovine artificial insemination (A.I.) by Select Sires. Her love of small animals was undeniable, so she quickly transitioned to working on dogs and cats.

Dr. Thinnes loves practicing at The PARC because of its culture of caring for people. She originally joined the team at Hulen Hills in 2007. Now with more than 25 years’ experience in the veterinary field, Dr. Thinnes is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and was recognized as a 2020 Best Vet in Fort Worth by Fort Worth Weekly. She has a particular passion for emergency and abdominal surgeries, ultrasound and ICU management. She and her husband, Mark, have three children, two dogs – a pug named Champ, and a Brittany spaniel named Bennet – and six chickens.
